What changes for you

Design with more clarity, confidence and control

01

Know what belongs where

Structure content so users immediately understand where they are and what to do next.

02

Make stronger visual choices

Work with hierarchy, typography, spacing and colour without relying on guesswork.

03

Think beyond desktop

Design experiences that stay clear and usable across different screen sizes.

04

Explain your decisions

Present your work with a clear reason behind the choices you have made.

What you’ll be able to create

Build digital work that looks professional and makes sense

Apply your skills to real digital design situations, from landing pages to complete interactive flows.

Landing pages Structure content and calls to action into a clear, convincing page.
Responsive websites Design pages that stay clear across desktop, tablet and mobile.
Digital product flows Turn user tasks into logical screens and interactions.
Clickable prototypes Show how your idea works instead of explaining a static mock-up.
Does this sound familiar?

You can make a page. You want to understand why it works.

You may already work with websites, content, marketing or design. Now you want your digital work to feel less like arranging elements and more like considered design.

  • Your website looks fine, but not yet as professional as you want.
  • You are not always sure where content, navigation or calls to action should go.
  • You know what you like visually, but find it harder to explain why it works.
  • Your desktop design works, but mobile often becomes an afterthought.
  • You want to design more independently instead of relying on templates.
  • You are curious about AI, but do not want it to make your work generic.

Figma is the tool. Designing a clear digital experience is the skill.

Student experiences

Practical learning works better when there is room for feedback

Learning UX is not only about understanding a process. You need to try it, make decisions, receive feedback and see how your work improves. These experiences come from related Art and the City UI/UX, web design and digital courses.

Art and the City student Web Design course

These reviews come from related Art and the City UI/UX, web design and digital courses. They reflect the practical teaching style, personal guidance and small-group learning environment.

Small groups

Space to ask questions and receive attention for your own work.

Personal feedback

Understand what works, what does not and how to improve it.

Learn by doing

Work on practical design problems instead of only watching demonstrations.

Professional thinking

Approach a design like something that will actually be used and built.

The skills you develop

Learn to think and work like an UX/UI designer

Build the judgement you need to make digital experiences clearer, more usable and visually stronger.

Structure & user flows

Organise information and think through how people move through an experience.

Wireframing

Solve structure and hierarchy before getting distracted by visual polish.

UI & visual hierarchy

Use typography, spacing, colour and scale to guide attention.

Responsive design

Design flexible layouts that adapt across different screens.

Systems & components

Create reusable patterns that keep larger designs consistent.

Interaction & prototyping

Turn static screens into experiences people can click through and understand.

Figma supports the process. You work with Figma, Figma AI and Figma Make, but the focus stays on structure, UX/UI judgement, responsive design, interaction and professional digital design.
A workflow you can reuse

From rough idea to realistic digital experience

Learn a design process that gives you structure before you start polishing screens.

Step 1

Understand

Clarify the user, goal, content and problem.

Step 2

Structure

Build flows, hierarchy and wireframes.

Step 3

Design

Develop the visual interface and responsive system.

Step 4

Prototype

Connect screens and make the experience interactive.

Step 5

Refine

Test, improve and prepare the design for production.

The programme

Five modules from UX structure to interactive production

Each four-week module develops one part of the workflow. Follow them separately or complete all five as one learning path.

Module 1

UX structure, user flows & wireframes

Learn to organise content and journeys before worrying about visual polish. Turn ideas into clear flows and wireframes.

Focus: UX thinking, structure, hierarchy and wireframes.

Module 2

Visual UI design

Turn wireframes into professional interfaces using typography, colour, spacing and visual hierarchy.

Focus: interface design, layout, typography, colour and hierarchy.

Module 3

Responsive systems & reusable components

Create flexible interfaces that adapt across devices and stay consistent as the design grows.

Focus: Auto Layout, components, responsive design and design systems.

Module 4

Interaction & prototyping

Connect screens, create interactions and build realistic prototypes that show how the product should behave.

Focus: interaction design, prototypes and presenting your work.

Module 5

AI-assisted design & web production

Use AI to explore ideas, generate variations and speed up production while keeping control over UX/UI decisions.

Focus: Figma AI, Figma Make, iteration, prototyping and production.

How you learn

You learn UX/UI by making decisions, not watching tutorials

Design improves when you make something, receive feedback, see what is unclear and improve it.

Small groups

Enough room to ask questions and discuss your own work.

Personal feedback

Learn why something works instead of only what to change.

Practical assignments

Apply each skill immediately to realistic design challenges.

Portfolio thinking

Create work you can explain and present professionally.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need previous Figma experience?
No. You build your Figma skills while learning UX/UI principles and applying them to practical digital design projects.
Is this mainly a Figma course?
No. Figma is the main design environment, but the real focus is UX/UI: structure, user flows, hierarchy, responsive design, reusable systems, interaction and prototyping.
Is this useful if I already work in marketing, communication or web?
Yes. The programme is especially useful if digital design is becoming a bigger part of your work and you want to make stronger decisions about landing pages, websites, interfaces and user experience.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Programming experience is not required. You do learn to think about what can realistically be built and how to communicate your designs clearly.
What role does AI play?
AI can help with exploration, variations, prototyping and production. It does not replace UX/UI judgement. You still decide what users need, which structure works and whether the result is clear.
Will I learn responsive design?
Yes. You learn to design layouts and systems that can adapt across desktop, tablet and mobile.
Will I create clickable prototypes?
Yes. You connect screens and interactions so you can demonstrate how a website, app or digital product should work.
Can I follow only one module?
Yes. Each module lasts four weeks and costs €495. You can choose one area to strengthen or follow all five modules.
Who is this programme for?
It is suitable for beginning designers, marketing and communication professionals, entrepreneurs, content creators and career switchers who want to design digital experiences more professionally.
Can I use the work for my portfolio?
Yes. The programme is practical and project-based. You learn to present both the visual result and the thinking behind your UX/UI decisions.
