Yes! As a student, you can use the full Adobe Creative Cloud for a discounted rate of €19.66/month (instead of €60.49). You’ll first have access to a 7-day free trial. Once enrolled, we’ll send you instructions on how to activate your discounted subscription. This gives you full access to tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Absolutely. Our basic-level courses are designed for complete beginners. You don’t need any prior education or experience — just motivation and curiosity!
Your diploma is an official certificate proving that you’ve mastered the three main Adobe programs. Art and the City is recognized by both the NRTO and CRKBO in the Netherlands.
Still, in the creative industry, your portfolio is key. The more effort you put into your personal projects and visual identity, the better your chances of success in design-related roles.
It depends! Most teachers at Art and the City use Apple, but choose the setup that works best for you.
Minimum recommended specs (Windows):
– 13″ screen (3200 x 1800 resolution)
– SSD with 512 GB storage
– Intel i7 processor (2.7 GHz)
– 16 GB RAM
Minimum recommended specs (Mac):
– 13.3″ screen (2560 x 1600 resolution)
– 256 GB SSD
– Intel i5 or iCore processor (2.0 GHz or faster)
Tip: A second screen, external hard drive, and Wacom tablet are excellent add-ons if you want to work like a pro.
Practice, observe, and analyze great design. Recreate examples to learn how they work. Stay organized and consistent. Show up and participate — feedback from teachers and classmates will help shape your own visual style. Over time, you’ll develop a unique creative voice.
No stress! All group lessons are recorded and can be rewatched at your own pace (available for 30 days). If you miss more than one class and feel like you’re falling behind, contact us and we’ll find a solution together.
Since 2020, Art and the City has offered its group courses exclusively online. The digital format allows for flexibility, no travel time, and class recordings to review later.

Course fees listed on the website are excluding VAT. You must purchase your own Adobe software. Your course certificate is included in the price — there are no other hidden fees.
