Questions

What is the content of each module?
The course includes 6 hands-on modules:
  • Illustrator Basics — vector drawing, logos, icons
  • Photoshop Basics — photo editing, collage, visual storytelling
  • InDesign Basics — layout for posters, brochures and books
  • Branding — build your own brand and visual identity
  • Typography & Composition — hierarchy, layout, grids and balance
  • Final Project — a personal portfolio piece with coaching and feedback
Each module includes live online sessions, creative assignments and personal feedback.
What materials or software do I need?
You need a laptop or desktop computer, Mac or Windows, preferably from the last 4–5 years. You will also need Adobe Creative Cloud with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. A student subscription may be available through Art and the City. We provide templates, files and creative resources. No previous experience is required.
Is there an exam? What kind of assignments can I expect?
There is no standard exam included in the course. You complete weekly creative assignments and receive personal feedback, plus a certificate of participation after each module.

An optional official exam is available for €255. It includes two larger final assignments, a short theory test and assessment by a senior instructor. After passing, you receive a diploma.
Can I use this course to build a portfolio and find a job or internship?
This course helps you create your first professional portfolio pieces. We cannot guarantee a job or internship, but you receive personal feedback, portfolio advice and practical guidance on presenting your work through platforms such as Behance and Adobe Portfolio.
What is the total cost of the course?
The total tuition fee is €2970, VAT-free. You can pay in full or in five monthly instalments of €594. Payment through UWV or Werktuig PPO may be possible, subject to approval. The optional official exam of €255 is not included.
When does the next course start?
The next course starts on 27 August 2026. Early registration is recommended because places are limited.
