Our training begins with thorough research and analysis to understand the market, target audience, and competitors. Then, you use various brainstorming techniques to generate a wide range of ideas and keep a Creative Journal with ideas, sketches, and mood boards.

You select the best ideas and develop them into sketches with different styles, colors, and typographies, which you then convert into designs using Illustrator. With a clear concept, you create prototypes, ranging from digital mock-ups to physical models.

Work with paper art and 3D analog concepts, such as collages and dioramas. Gather feedback from fellow students and teachers to refine your concepts. Develop the visual identity of the brand and implement it with consistent marketing materials.

Reflect on your process by creating a visualization of all the steps.

Very Valuable! I found the Concept Development training to be very valuable. The tools I’ve learned to improve my creative processes will continue to be a pleasure to use. The class times were convenient and fit perfectly into my schedule. The practical lessons on-site were the highlight of the course. Despite the challenge of following the training alongside a job, we were given enough leeway with deadlines. I was looking to deepen my knowledge of graphic design and get a better handle on my creative processes. I give this training an 8.5! More practical lessons and it would be a 10 🙂

Like! I followed the concept development training here, super motivated and enthusiastic teachers who really teach you to look at the design process differently. I took the course because I wanted to design more process-oriented, and that was definitely triggered!

Loraine Elemans Designer

Very Good Experience! I wanted to set up my own business better. With this training, I was looking to explore my creative side again. I got off to a good start here. You were well guided and received good feedback, also from fellow students. I experienced the training very well. The lessons were enjoyable. I give it a 9.

Cindy Heemskerk Stylist, DTP operator

Instructors Were Fantastic! I want to do fun creative work for a few more years. At an employer or for myself. I found this training a beautiful step although I already have quite a lot of experience in photography and web design. Very fun. Paper art was my favorite. That could be expanded for me. All the instructors were fantastic! Classmates too. A really fun group. I give this training an 8.

Steven van der Hoeff Senior Front-End Developer

Extremely Happy I’m extremely happy that I followed the DTP graphic design course. Very satisfied with the result and I use it every day. Since I was not so handy with the computer, I diligently did all the homework and even extra things. Now I am sometimes amazed at my own ability. I give this training a rating of 8.5.

Very Useful Course I wanted to understand the programs to subsequently be able to work with students. I must say that I was very pleased. The teacher was very patient, explained well and clearly, and also helped well when I got stuck. I never felt ‘too dumb’ to ask a question. The advantage was also that it was a small group, which allowed a lot of room for personal guidance. The course material was nicely divided into sections and was well put together. The fact that the lessons were recorded, so you could watch them back during the week if necessary, I found very pleasant. This way, I didn’t have to take all notes during the lesson, but could watch and participate calmly. The feedback I continually received on the homework also helped. I have therefore experienced it as a pleasant and very useful course. I give it an 8.5.

Kathelijne Bijlsma-de Wit

Valuable I wanted to make a career switch from medical specialist to professional illustrator. The lessons are clear, concise, and easy to follow online. Watching recordings of the lessons I find very valuable. Homework is easy to submit and is well discussed. The only thing I kind of miss in the online lessons is the interaction with classmates outside the lessons such as during the break or at the end of the lesson. Everyone is immediately out of sight, so you don’t have contact with each other outside of class. I give this training a 9.
